Hamas terror tunnels into Israel

You probably think I am a fool regardless, but I disagree. You, like many Americans, appear to have only a very rudimentary understanding of things in Gaza. Hamas is not the only militant group in Gaza. There is Islamic Jihad, the secular groups such as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the Syrian Social National Party (this group supports the unity of Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria). I think the previous poster is incorrect about rockets being found in a hospital -- she probably confused what she heard with the school incidents. But, it is impossible for us to know to whom the rockets belonged. In the conspiracy-ripe Middle East, they could even conceivably have been planted by someone. But, clearly, not everyone knows that the rockets were hidden by Hamas. There is simply not enough evidence to demonstrate that, though many people want to believe it and won't require evidence to support their belief.

If there is no food, why has Hamas invested so much money, resources, and time on the 1000+ missiles they fired AT ISRAELI CIVILIANS?

They supposedly have at least 1000 more rockets. Why wasn't that money spent on food if its as bad as you claim? Ask Hamas - THEY chose terror weapons over food.

Finally, American Jews invested $14.5 million dollars of their own money to help Gazans grow food in Gaza for profit and to feed their own people; Gazans squandered the chance. The ripped the project apart. Stole everything. This was in 2005 after Israel gave them back control of Gaza.

So, hypothesize that you and your extended family are being held in your home, unable to leave for work, shopping, school, or medical attention, and your electric and water are delivered or shut off at the whim of your captors. They have all the bells and whistles: armored vehicles, automatic weapons, grenades, etc. You find a pistol, and fire it out the window. Ah, now they're justified in killing you and the family so they can "defend themselves." Really??? After they kill your kids and half of your family, they offer a truce: "you promise not to shoot and they will too ... but everything else remains the same." Sound like a good deal to you? Do you get it now? Think about this the next time you hear someone say, "Israel has a right to defend itself," or "Israel offered them a cease fire, and they refused. I can swear that if you lived in Ghaza in the conditions that the Ghazans live in, you would throw more than a rocket

It's Israel's fault. There is no threat to Israel's security from Gaza or Hamas. Yet Israel kills civilians in Gaza that is murder. Israel needs to be punished.

You're right, I don't know much about this conflict -- but when all the possibilities point to pro-Palestinian groups, does the distinction really matter? They are putting rockets in places that dare Israel to kill civilians. That is so wrong.

This is also just what I heard on the radio, but Hamas is telling people to stay in their homes and stand their ground when they know Israel is planning on attacking those homes. How sick is that. i heard the Palestinian say that on the radio so it was not spin, it was his own words. They are using their own people to make others hate Israel. Can't you come up with a better way PP? You are not going to win. You should find a way to work with Israel so your children can have a better future.

Yes, the distinction is very important. Would you want to be blamed for something someone else did? But, I agree that it is wrong to store weapons in such places.

BTW, the US is providing aid and support to the Syrian rebels. Has everyone carefully reviewed their activities to ensure those groups don't store weapons in schools or fire them from civilian areas? Not that the US would ever be hypocritical -- couldn't possibly happen -- but it would be odd to support and supply groups doing the same things for which Israel is bombing Palestinians with US support and supplies.
