would you agree to have your 15yr old have a nose job?

I had one when I was 16. I am still so thankful my parents let me do it. It greatly improved my looks, which helped boost my self-confidence. I'd talk to a few doctors to see if you can get a consensus on which age is most appropriate from a medial standpoint.

She will be starting high school this year with all new kids and she is begging me to let her get a nose job. Her nose only has a slight bump on the bridge of it, she doesn't want a perfect nose she only wants that bump gone. I got a nose job before entering college and my life completely changed, I felt so much better about myself. I just want her to feel the same way.

My PS said he does them at 16. And he does a lot of them. You are not alone in disliking your nose. Have you talked with a PS?

My niece's life would have been better if she's gotten her nose done after high school. She has beautiful eyes, face shape, complexion - and a very thick, large nose. Her self-esteem has always been in the toilet. A fast and common procedure would have changed her whole life.

I agree with this advice. I waited until I was in my 40s but had I had money early on, I would have had it done right before going away to college. I think I would have felt better about myself. Today I am married with children and a successful professional. It is hard to say how my life would be different but I may not have struggled as much with self esteem issues. But, then again, I was more mature and grounded later in life. Who knows...

The kids in my med school class all got it done after first year...

To remove a bump, yes, I'd let her if it's bad. It won't go away otherwise.

I believe the recommendation is to wait until age 16 to make sure the bones have stopped growing, and possibly later if your daughter started her period late.

I'd like my daughter to have one, but she likes her nose...and so I've never told her that I would recommend changing it. She's 16 now and I hope she grows into it (the nose, not the idea to get the surgery). I had a nose job at 35 and it's been amazing.
