| I wear a slip if my dress is see through. I thought I was the only one based on how many women around here wear see-through dresses without them. I think it's an age thing, honestly. I'm 34, and it seems like women in their 20s just don't care if their stuff is see-through. |

I have always worn them and my friend's make fun of me.
I have bought them at Target but I have literally gotten them as hand-me-downs from my grandmother! |
Department stores. Maidenform outlet. Amazon probably has them, too. Wearing Jockey Skimmies and similar provides the slick surface so that your dress doesn't creep up and prevents chub rub, but does not prevent your entire leg up to your crotch from being visible through a less than opaque skirt. One could argue that this is a silly level of modesty for anyone comfortable wearing pants, but (office appropriate) pants leave more to the imagination than some skirts. |
| I'm sorry if I misunderstand but...does this mean most women are naked under their dresses?! Seriously? LOL! I never imagined. I would NEVER wear a dress without underwear. That's just gross -.- |

I've worn half slips forever. They keep the dress or skirt from sticking to you when it's hot (or staticky cold). I think a lot of women don't realize that you can see through their seemingly opaque skirts when they are back lit, like any time they enter/exit a building or a darker room from a brightly lit hall.
You haven't felt cool and sassy until you've gone commando under a flowy skirt in the summer. You wear a half slip in case of wind gusts, and slips hand-wash and air dry quickly. |
