BTW, be nice to them otherwise they'll give you decaf. And you'll wonder why you have that headache later.

I am trying to determine if this was a serious post or if you were being sarcastic.

Not saying it is the best, or most rewarding job in the world, but I wouldn't actually call it 'stressful' - maybe your definition is different than mine.

OP,
What about health and life insurance?

You are a parent. It's not about what YOU want anymore. suck it up and plan for your child's future. Did you fund a 529 plan yet for your child's college? Did you buy term life insurance in case you die. I have had 2 friends in their 30s die of sudden heart attacks. You need to plan for your kid.

If your reason is that you are sick of working, don't do it. I would only do what you are suggesting if you were to the point that you would have a nervous breakdown if you didn't make a change. You need to be able to pay your bills.

Have you considered making your current job a part time job? I went to a 30 hour week a 3 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. It was so much less stressful, because I left at 4:00 every day. I worked Monday-Wednesday and a half day from home on Thursdays. Just having that one day off made all the difference in the world.
