How long until I see a penny dc?

Who knows? He can dodge for quite a while if he really wanted to. My friend's ex left town and she had no idea where he was for a long time. Even the child support office couldn't locate him. He was living with a friend and getting paid in cash.

Child support office found him and he has a job and traceable stock.

In Moco, filed in September. He was served about a month and a half later. They had set dates for an initial hearing (and paternity establishment) and court date before a judge. Our first hearing was mid- January. No resolution so we went to a pre-court hearing (feb.)where he signed papers before having to go before a judge. This filing was for child support, not custody. First payment was due March.

What was there to hear? There are guidelines. Did he pay in march? Did you get the retroactive support your child is entitled to receive?

I don't know the process for everyone. The hearing presented the guidelines. We could have agreed to a payment within a range. He wanted a private agreement without state involvement. I did not trust a private agreement. So I waited until the pre-trial hearing. His agreed up payment includes an amount towards arrears. Moco accepts only garnished wages as payment. I don't know DC. (I do know DC will seek the previous two years. Moco goes from the date you file.) It took about 6 weeks from the date we signed the agreement for the wages to be garnished.

Ok so 5 months from file to payment. Are you also in MoCo?
