If you look at the Singapore math website, they have released new materials that are aligned to the Common Core.

So I have the same question then for Singapore. Do the grades line up? My child is in 4/5 compacted math (just finished fourth grade).

I dont think they lineup.

If you look at the table of contents in this Singapore 1B book (2nd Grade) they cover multiplication and division which I believe is 3rd grade in common core standard ...

I use http://www.ixl.com/standards/maryland/math to track what is covered at what grade.

I did Singapore Math for a couple of years with my child and I just bought the books for the grades she was in at the time even though she was accelerated by two years by MCPS. My desire was to go over the basics carefully and thoroughly. I don't think she appreciated it but I felt good about it. Before C2.0 we were always hearing complaints about how the Math curriculum was an inch deep and a mile wide and jumped around too much and covered too many topics and so I wanted to make sure she had not missed anything. I really liked the Singapore Math curriculum. It definitely covers fewer topics and goes into them very thoroughly. I found the instructor's manual to be fabulous.
