Siblings on tours?

I don't think its weird that he wanted to go but I agree that you should let your DD make the call. Choosing a college is primarily her decision and she needs fewer, not more, people involved. Plus since your DS just went through the process he probably has strong opinions that are specific to him. I can imagine him making comments about even small things with an air of experience that she would just find intrusive. Even parents should mostly keep their mouths shut on these tours.

I agree with this. I fully intend to bring DC2 along to some of DC1's college visits; DC1 absolutely won't mind this. But, as their relationship is now, I can imagine not wanting to bring DC1 along on DC2's visits. (Although I can definitely imagine DC1 wanting to go.) DC1 tends to be opinionated and DC2 sometimes chafes at DC1's comments. It wouldn't surprise me if DC2 preferred to form opinions without DC1's input. I would leave the decision to DC2. Can you all go to Boston, but send your DS off to do things on his own while you and DD do college tours?
