I use a root applicator - and then lightly tap to spread the color - but I have long hair so it's easier to color the roots. I buy color from esalon and you might be right - you might be using too dark of a color. N will color gray more easily, I use 6N (medium color). The lighter the color, the more easy it is to blend in with hair that's not being colored. |
You can color your hair while you're pregnant. It's not like you're bleaching the crap out of it. |

I've heard henna is not a good option if you plan to use regular color again. I also wouldn't feel comfortable using it in the first tri. For now, I'm doing strategic parting, wearing hats, and avoiding people. We aren't telling until second tri and anyone who knows me and sees my hair is going to know immediately. Forget fearing the emergence of the bump, my hair is my give-a-way! |
