I like it. The biggest imperfection about John Legend is that he's friends with Kanye West. |
| It is much preferable to Talk Dirty to Me - with lyrics that make me want to puke. Or Fancy. How many times does one need to spell Iggy in a song? |
| I also cannot stand that song. His lyrics sound like a 7th grader vying for an essay contest- the opposite cliches and the "magical mystery ride" (what, really?) and the melody is bland. BOO! Off the radio.....enough already... |
| Horrible song. |

I was really sick of the original version. And then they made a remake. Yay. Really REALLY sick of that one.
My daughter likes it, so my challenge is to try to change the station before she realizes it's on. (not easy to do - she shares my ability to "name that tune" after a note or two.) |
| 23:15 - I like "Talk Dirty to me" if only because he rhymes "genius" and "penis", which makes me laugh. I'm ok with "Fancy" - we like to sing along to that one. I feel like Iggy Azalea should pay royalties to Gwen Stefani, though, for that one. |
| What's not to love about that song? Beautifully rendered, lyrics that make sense to an average person and a tube that resonates with my soul. I can listen to it over and over again |
I can't think of John Legend without thinking of this.

| Good looking guy. |

This is actually an interesting article about the song and some ideas about why it may be so popular right now (I don't know a lot about music theory but I do like this series of articles about popular songs).
http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2014/05/12/all_of_me_by_john_legend_is_no_1_on_the_billboard_charts_the_latest_new.html Agree that the lyrics aren't the best but I do love his voice. The "dance" remix I have heard is the worst. |
But you can't say he never tried. (John Legend that is....) |
| It his a hideously overwrought song. Like a male Celine Deon. |

I loved the rendition of this song by this year's The Voice winner, Josh Kaufman ... His voice has got such soul, and this version was beautiful, I think much better than John Legend's:
