Infertility Support and Discussion
| 31 and 28.5 days, but can be up to 35 days. For me, ovulation timing is sensitive to stress and illness. It has happened a week late when I was really stressed. I second the rec for Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I charted for a year or so and it was fascinating. |

age 45 and a half.....the last two or so years ago it was
about a 30 day, now its approx 27-28 days. But once it was 26 days about 2 years ago. It is very comforting to read this forum and find out that even 25 days is considered within the normal. I panic a bit when things are even slightly not consistent with what I expect to be normal for me so thanks eveyone for your posts. |
| Age 43 turning 44 and cycle is up to 40 days! Use to be on the pill between pregnancies. Have 2 children age 7 and 3 and trying for third! |
| I am 46 years old. my cycle now sometime last for 15 or more days. I am headed toward 25 days as we speak and it is driving me crazy!!!!! When did this become normal for you all? I have always had a cycle for 3 days 4 tops until pre-menopause. 5 months of no cycle was wonderful but a month long cycle is torture. |

I am 40 and my cycles have varied between 24 and 31 days. I just saw the RE this morning and he said that I may have a progesterone issue. The doctor also said that the progesterone issue is causing the flux in the cycles as of late.
Has anyone had a progesterone issue and then gotten pregnant when the issue was corrected? This was my first visit with the RE and I am hoping that progesterone might be all I need. Thanks. |
| 44 and have 24-25 day cycles for almost 7 years now. I never had a problem getting pregnant-and have one child aged 2. My RE said a cycle under 21 days are a concern. |
| 41 and 29 - 30 days. Have had 3 children w/o ART, youngest is 15 mos. |
| I am 32 and I get my period for 6 days. I have a question, by the way? I get very bad dysminorrhea or menstrual cramps. What do you do or take to help relieve yourself from it? Thanks. |
Hi. I also suffer from dysminorrhea and I understand how frustrating and painful it is. You might want to ask about Motrin from your doctor. Helps me when I get a bad attack. You can also get it from the Online Pharmacy. HTH. |
| If you have bad cramps during your period, you may want to speak to your doctor about the possibility of endometriosis. Even just a little bit can cause a lot of period pain for some women. Some ob/gyns will tell you that you should start taking Motrin before the pain kicks in. This can be helpful, but if you are prone to stomach problems, please be careful. I ended up with a stomach ulcer from self-medicating with motrin. |
