I had some kind of berry croissant I really liked ...
I'd still have it again.

++ back in the day there was a Sbux in my office building and the evening crew at the call center would be sOOO happy when Sbux employees would give them a big tray of cranberry bars or muffins or something that they were going to have to toss when they closed. I no longer eat Sbux (or other, usually!) pastries but they used to be yummy. I can vouch for their spinach feta egg wrap, they make that fresh and it's yummy! |
| I love that spinach wrap too but unfortunately it's also pre-made and come out of a plastic wrapper. They just open up the wrapper to heat the wrap up. Sad but true. |
| The La Boulangerie stuff was a step in the wrong direction. Basically the same stuff, half the size, same price. No thanks. |
That's it; I'm moving to Canada! Wait, Boulange sucks and they probably have it Canada as well. Oh well never mind. |
| They were delicious when they first unveiled them but lately they've been awful. |
| Surprised anyone thought they carried fresh baked goods. |
| I like their new almond croissants. |
| Worst place to work, ask any liberal arts or English major |
| The La Boulange thing was a change for the worse IMHO. I used to love the turkey bacon breakfast sandwich. The vendor change is apparent because the new sandwich is awful! The only thing that is the same is the name. |
| Also hate the new Boulange brand food. At least before it looked like it COULD have been freshly made. Now the cakes and pastries are all square and cardboardy looking. Maybe I should thank them though, it's helping my diet!!! |
| I worked for a Starbucks (in a Barnes & Noble) when I was in college (majoring in English!), and we baked them. (They came frozen by the ton, they were baked daily.) I never thought they were great (always smelled better than they tasted), but at least they were half-new. Ugh. |
Why ask any liberal arts or English major vs. other majors? |
I assumed they are pre-baked -- really, you thought they were baked fresh at Starbucks OP? -- but I had no idea they were unwrapped from plastic, with a 4 month sell by date. That's too bad -- we love their scones. Also their coffee cakes, cookies and just about everything baked..... |
| The bakery items are the accompaniment to their star. Keep the expectations low... |
