Piper didn't beat Pennsatucky to death. But maybe Tucky will get some new teeth out of the whole thing, which would be a win for her.

I wondered at the time if Piper may have actually beat her to death - she really beat the snot out of her!! But that would be so bad for the show - Piper in the SHU for the indefinite future, or transferred to another more secure prison. No way to have that happen that would be believable and not really blow up the storyline. So I'm feeling 95% sure that Pennsatucky is alive. Guess we'll know next weekend!

All reports indicate that Pennsatucky isn't dead. Piper is in the SHU. There's a teaser on Netflix -- it looks like this season will be darker than the first one.

PP -- I like your theory about the new teeth for Pennsatucky--

it seems to me with these anti-hero shows there is always some sort of positive outcome from some otherwise abhorrent deed, in the vein of The Sopranos. No matter what horrible thing Tony Soprano did it was always for the better, somehow. Seems to be a trend.
