That's amazing. Even more so given that the school has to document the instances of bullying and I've seen schools bend over backward to not see bullying so it doesn't get reported.

This kind of abuse is really a spin off to all the threads about "my child is never invited" or "my child can't get a playdate." Exclusion and isolation becomes abuse. When elementary school age kids think it's okay to leave out and isolate and exclude SN kids, or never reciprocate socially, the next step is to think SN kids are less than human. I'm not saying every ordinary kid could do what these girls did. But I put this sort of thing on the whole neighborhood.

A boy with ASD was sexually abused and almost drowned due to requests of two NT girls he believed were his gf and friend. One of the them has been charged as a adult. He still considers them his friends.


Case was sent back to juvenile court and the girl pleaded the equivalent of no contest.

The exclusion and isolation certainly sets this type of situation up ... a child who is never allowed to join the rest of the group becomes very desperate and will agree to do whatever it takes to be allowed to stay. Having "friends" that treat you badly is better than no "friends" at all. Add to that equation an inability to judge when one is being taken advantage of ...
