Yes. Just in case they need to reach us. They are elderly. |
We tell my parents and MIL when we are traveling. They typically contact us via cell phone/email if necessary. Otherwise, we don't bother with more information. |
No. Many times we don't even tell them. They'll (ILs) invite themselves and or show up.

Usually dates, yes. But not really more detailed info. I do think my super OCD/anxious FIL asks for the specific flight info as we get closer, but I'm not part of that convo. My husband has an international cell phone plan since he travels abroad for work, so it's always easy to get a hold of us. No one would ever need to know our hotel info... |
You mean when I'm coming to visit? Yes, because my parents live 10 minutes from the airport and want to come pick us up. So, I give them the flight details - my dad tracks whether the flight is on time or delayed, so he can get there in time and not have to sit around for an hour when it's delayed.
But when we're going somewhere else? No, no reason to. |
No I have not. but it might not be a bad idea to give it to someone but I always have my cell phone on me. |
No, I can barely keep track of my own travel schedule, and I never know where they are. I don't recall the last time my mom, my dad (divorced), and I were in the country at the same time, and my only sibling lives in Asia. If I can't reach them by cell, email usually works. We are actually very close and talk almost daily. |
No, they'd mistakenly think we were rich or something or that we should be flying to visit them more often.
Our emergency contacts are good friends who are local(godparents). |

Yes. |
Detailed? Depends. Usually flight info, dates and hotel. They do the same with us. We have been married for 20 years though so we are past the boundary setting stage. |
