Oh my holy hell...serious TMI

This is why I will NEVER go all bare. It's bad enough when an intact folicle gets a little infected, like a zit... But shaving and waxing is like rolling out a red carpet for bacteria.
FWIW, my husband wipes rubbing alcohol all over his face after every shave. It's cut down on his ingrown hairs by about 95%. |

| I had a couple of years ago just at the "top" of the vagina... I didn't go to a doc., just put hot towels/ took warm baths, etc... It went on for about 2 weeks and at the end I could barely walk, let alone sit! Then, one day when went to the bathroom it broke as soon I sat at the toilet. It felt GREAT! I just let the all the stuff come out naturally and then squeezed the sides to make sure all was out. Rubbed alcohol and let it air dry. |

| Honestly, I thought I was rare that this kind of thing happened to me at all. I would be so embarrased to have to tell my husband, "Not tonight dear, I have another zit on my labia!" But it's reassuring to know I am not alone. |

Does the rubbbing alcohol burn/sting on freshly shaved skin? My husband gets ingrown hairs on his face but I think he'd freak out if I suggested alcohol! He only rarely shaves because of these issues...which I say contributes to his sensitivity.
Seriously, go do a google images search on some of these conditions...the pictures are horrifying and make me cringe just to imagine the pain you're feeling! Sending LOTS of get-well-wishes to those of you in such painful misery!

| Try Tend Skin to prevent ingrown hairs on the face. Don't think it's for down there though. |

| OP, you say they are treating it as if it is bacterial. I hope they have you using Altabax topically. If not, I would ask for it so you are treating topically and orally (I think you said they gave you oral antibiotics). |

13:15, I know! I am never going down that road again, believe me. I'm on oral ABs. Things seem to be calming down. |
