I have 4.
BOB single BOB double Uppababy Vista Uppababy G-lite They all serve different purposes. When I started out, I swore that I'd only have 1 stroller. |
|
2.
Super crappy umbrella stroller that my mom gave us (I think it was a freebie with purchase from Toys R Us or something). Maclaren Volo that we used all the time. Neither kid used a stroller after age 3 (and honestly not much after 2.5). |

Jogging double stroller
Regular Peg Perego Unbrella stroller Regular double stroller Sit and stand |
| We had a Citi Mini. Then we got a second when DC turned 3 -- just a basic Britax umbrella. |
|
Two.
UppaBaby vista with attachments for everyday use - preschool drop off, grocery shopping, etc. and an umbrella stroller or travel. We live downtown and primarily walk places. We have an almost 2 and almost 4 yo. Our almost 4 walks most places, but it's nice to have the piggyback attachment when (like today) she's too tired to walk home from school or the park at the end of the day. |
| We have three - a Citi Mini, a Chicco travel stroller (sturdy, good for planes), and a cheapie umbrella stroller. DD has essentially stopped using all of them regularly at this point. She's almost 3. |
| For our 19 month old only, we have a BOB for neighborhood walking, hiking on smooth trails, and DH running. We have an Uppababy Gluxe that we keep in the car and for going on the metro or weekend activities. We also had a Chicco Snap and Go for the car seat, which I hope to keep loaned out until/if I need it again. |
Also, I have no idea how long we'll use our strollers. We'll quit before he looks like he's being folded into the stroller for Mommy's convenience only and his knees touch his chin (except long outings like zoo, amusement parks, etc.). Now he prefers to walk if we aren't going long distances, but I have wished we had the stroller. We had an Ergo and a Maya Wrap, both of which are being used with diminishing frequency. I still like the Ergo but he doesn't. I like the Maya for when I'm running into a restaurant like Panera or Chipotle alone. I can't get him to stay by my side on foot. |

I have had 4-- a Snap-n-Go for the first few months (which was a hand-me down), a Bob for walks around my neighborhood and on trails, a Maclaren Volo umbrella stroller (bought off Craigslist) for the airport, bus, etc., and a Joovy sit and stand that a neighbor gave us for free. My younger kid is almost 3 and we're close to not using them anymore. Maybe 6 more months.
|
| Bugaboo Cameleon and a McLaren Triumph (for travel and tight spaces). We use both frequently with our 15 month old. |

Thanks for feedback everyone.
I have been stroller researching for months and there are so many great options, it is hard to just choose one. Made me wonder how many strollers most moms have. I will start with one, but now I don't feel so bad about liking three. Sounds like most kids are done with wanting to sit in a stroller around 4 yrs. OP |
+1 8 month old, just got the maclaren, i don't think we'll need any more. |
I learned early on that it was an exercise in futility to try to make one product serve many different needs. I got 3 strollers, 2 carriers, etc. I needed different things for different circumstances and different stages. I get everything used and then I give away or sell things when I'm done. |

Four: snap and go, single jogger (Chicco brand, do not recommend), double jogger (BOB revolution, love it), and an Uppa GLite (also love it). Two kids, ages 2.5y and 6m.
We wouldn't have gotten the double jogger but for the fact that I love running. |
| ^^ 21:20 is right, OP, there is no one stroller to rule them all. It all depends on what you'll use it for, and if that's for multiple purposes, you may well need more than one. Once past the little baby phase, we only use the jogger and the umbrella. They're not at all interchangeable, and I'm very glad we have them both. |
