I like inkberry holly, and it's easy to find.

We have a Callicarpa and I don't think it's what you are looking for. It's gorgeous in the fall but is completely bare for a lot of the year.

But wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens) and cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon) are tiny little shrubs. And mountain laurel (Kalmia angustifolia) and sheep laurel (Kalmia latifolia) are fussy. And Rhododendron maximum gets huge when it's happy, which it probably wouldn't be next to a driveway, and I've never seen it for sale at garden stores.

OP here, a lot of these are really beautiful. Thanks! I'm leaving towards the inkberry. Anything I should do special to get it started or keep it up?

It's pretty easy to grow. I'd ask the nursery:

Burning bush is invasive in Maryland.
