White wine with frozen fruit at tomorrow's celebration: Too summery? Tacky at any time?

Um, is your SO a straight male (Im guessing so from your wording)? If so this is totally weird.

Not really, but I had some fairly good ones today. And soaked in booze, who cares? Peaches and strawberries in white wine, maybe with a slug of a liquer, sounds amazing.

OP said partner, which means not necessarily a guy and certainly not necessarily a DH. You need to shut it.

OP also said "he".

I'm OP. Partner is a guy but finicky. He's former military and after a long time eating MREs, he has an obsession with fresh, in season produce.
The wine with peaches and melon was wonderful. The clerk recommended a white wine that was complementary and everyone had a second glass. I had 3. Yummy.

There is no wrong time for wine with fruit!

Sounds great. Attendees likely will not have an obsession w/in season produce. Wine & fruit will be welcomed IMO
