Did you go to church this a Easter morning?

Yes! I went to the early service and enjoyed it. The music and the sermon were wonderful.

Yes. Whole family went. It was a wonderful, uplifting moment for everyone.

My kids are both sick and honestly sometimes I hate the normal hype of Easter with all of the fancy dresses for a day, even though our church wouldn't be phased if we wear jeans. The sermons on Easter am are almost always trying to convert sinners. As a Christian I am looking for something deeper maybe?

I know what you mean, op. I sometimes feel like Christmas and Easter are amateur hour for those who do not normally show up, so, no, I do not get much out of it.

Yes. We had to stand, however, due to the Chreasters. (Christmas and Easter only attendees.)

Dude, you gotta get there about one hour early to get seated in front of the Chreasters, don't you know that?!?! If not, then you are only one step above the (overly-dressed) Chreasters!

Nope, but I did feel the urge quite strongly to go to Columbia Island with the kids for a make-your-own sunrise service. Woke up too late for that. The best Easter Service of my life was a sunrise service, just up the road a piece from Charleston. The sun peeked over the water full of Cypress knees and really made you feel the glory of His rising. I haven't thought of that day in years but it was really on my mind today. Maybe by next year I'll have come up with a rational explanation for the kids of why I want to have church at our boat slip!
