You could also add the skins to a pitcher of water and let it infuse overnight. A nice aqua frescos will result the next day!

I use one of those apple peelers/corers that spirals around the apple. It works well about 80% of the time. Doesn't work well on soft apples or misshapen apples. I think I got it at LL Bean or someplace like that.

No problem! If you want you could probably do up to 10 apples. I had extra room, but you never want to fill a slow cooker all the way. Of course apple size is relative, the 3 granny smiths I used were huge!
