Favorite buffet restaurants

The Korean meat buffets in Annandale are good if you're into that sort of thing. I think my husband's favorite is called Il Mee. And then you can walk over to Shilla Bakery for fun desserts.

There is also one in the lower level of Congressional Plaza. In addition to the Mon-Sat lunch buffet they also have a Fri/Sat night dinner buffet. DS LOVES looking at the fish tank.

Also- Normandie Farms in Potomac has a Sunday brunch buffet. It's kind of $$ but the popovers are to die for. While the food is buffet and fast the only kids in the restaurant tend to be there for special family occasions.

They only have a salad bar, not a buffet.

We drive all the way to Fredericksburg for the Ryan's there. Love, love, love it!

I've also heard good things about the weekday lunch buffet at Ichiban (Sushi and Korean dishes I think) in Gaithersburg (near 355 and Mont Vil Ave intersection), but have not had lunch there.

+1 for Minerva

Another vote for Minerva

Not exactly what you're asking for but we love the rotary sushi buffet at Matuba in Bethesda. It is great for kids and they have some dishes other than sushi. It does require a little patience, however, but I think that is part of the fun.

Cebiche House in Gaithersburg has a great Peuvian buffet.

our DS is into the fish tank at the one in Rockville too. The sushi buffet isn't bad.

I realize you're probably kidding, but I do love their yeast rolls. I could eat half a tray of them if shame were no object. The rest of the food I could leave, though. (We ate there a lot with my grandparents before they died.)

dim sum during the week is fun and like a buffet. I went to one a few years ago off of 270 but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

Anonymous wrote:I love Indian food and the buffets but I invariably feel uncomfortable after eating. It is not the amount of food but the fact that Indian food seems to produce a lot of gas and bloating. I think it is the salt and oil.

Gee, thank you for sharing.

I am glad that you didn't eat there with them after they died.

I love the Yelp review that raves about the blue cheese burger, but says not to eat the buffet because she saw a roach run past it one time. Newsflash: if they're in the buffet area, they're in the kitchen where your burger was made, too...
