Question for families who have adopted internationally

Where are you adopting from? Why are you acting like its a secret?
If you are adopting a baby I think its fine. If you are adopting a toddler or older child I think you should go home afterwards, not traveling. You will be uprooting them from the only life they will know, you need to get them home and settled, not take them to a bunch of different places. |

| We used every single leave day and more to be with DC from the time we could visit until we had to return to work. Took a hit on career mobility and forgoing income. Totally worth it. Great cocooning together and being with family and friends as a new family-so important. Wait until you save money to go back when DC is older and you can all visit together. |
