| Not a fan. Planes are old, seats are uncomfortable, there are add on fees for almost everything. But hey, if they are substantially the cheapest way to get there, I'll take them. |
| WORST EVER!! My 6' tall friend had to sit on the aisle and put her legs into the aisle since there was approximately 6" between the seat and the seat in front of you. I'm 5'6" and my knees were an inch from the seat in front of me. Both legs of hour flight had a 3 hour delay. I would NEVER fly this airline again. I don't care how cheap their flights are. I would never do it again. And I know the 5 other women I was with wouldn't fly them again either. |
Oh yeah the add on fees!! If there are empty seats and you decide to jump into one of them after everyone has boarded they charge you $35!!!! WTF!! |
| It depends if you have more time or money. You can fly Spirit cheap- but consider all the add ons. Once I figured parking, luggage, and insurance (Spirit tickets are not honored by other airlines in case of cancellation or major delay.) the tickets were not all that much cheaper. I used Spirit for 4 round trips between BWI and DFW. Over 50% of the flights were delayed, usually more than 2 hours. Because I had to make so many trips, the little savings did add up and make it worth it for my situation. The planes are dated but really, pop on some headphones, close your eyes and relax. |

I flew Spirit in Oct and will never fly with them again, dont care how cheap it is.
They made us all wait at BWI for over 5 hours to fix a plane that a goose had flown into. They they decided to get a diff plane, It was smaller so some people who had waited all that time got bumped. What did we get out of it? cramped legs on a tiny smell plane. Not even a bottle of water, Never again! |
| Hell NO!!!! |

LOL Depends. I will take them if the flight is less than 2 hours. They have a cheap non-stop flight from BWI to Myrtle Beach (where our vacation house is). Flight is 60 or so minutes in the air. I will take that flight in a heartbeat - cheapest and easiest. Anything much longer than that, I will not take Spirit.
I would not fly them to Dallas unless the rate was SUPER cheap compared to other airlines. |
| Just flew to Ft. Lauderdale and back on Spirit. The flight there was on a old plane and the seats were sooooooo close together. I had to shift my weight and turn to the side to cross my legs. I wouldn't fly them unless the flight was 2 hrs or less. Too uncomfortable. The flight back was on a newer plane but still super tight. I didn't like being nickeled and dimed for everything. They probably cost just about the same as the other alternatives when you added on the bag fees, cost to reserve seats together, etc. |
