O please. First of all, they don't take reservations, so your "very nice evening" will begin with a 40-minute wait. Also, the OP wanted to "try something new", and you just do not go to any GAR for that. They all have the same menu, which granted they do well, but if you have been to any GAR once or twice, the novelty is gone. |

If I went to Arties for my birthday, I would be very disappointed. As a PP said, it is the exact same food as any other Great American Restaurant. Nothing really special but nothing really bad.

For a serious blowout, 2941 or Restaurant Eve.
For delicious but not over-the-top, Bistro Vivant. I love GAR, but we can go with our kids. |
