This is why there is a hide function and I used it liberally while dealing with infertility. I know it sucks but there is a solution.

There's a glorious function where you can unfollow them and they won't show up in your feed. This is the best of both worlds, you don't see their stuff, but they're still a "friend" so you can snoop into what they're doing when you're up for it. It doesn't have to be in your face everyday.

However, you do have to take everything on FB with a grain of salt b/c it is a platform to show off, brag, rather than reality.

Not PP, but it did. Back then it was only available to college students though. I remember being a freshman and anxiously awaiting for our school to become part of Facebook. I believe it was during Fall semester, 2004. I don't think it opened up to non college students until late 2006 (at least according to a quick google search just now).
