Seriously? Schools are closed again?

Wondering if other programs like ours advertise how they provide backup care in situations like this to get people to sign up but don't really do it?

Read the fine print. I'm sure State of Emergency is in there some where.

We do the same, but they're always open when admin offices are open. MCCA FWIW.

We haul the kid to an Orthodox Jewish in-home daycare that never seems to close, and always seems to have enough staff coverage for snow days.

Hail to KAH! If there is a will, there is a way. They even covered the kids at camp the summer of the derecho. No access to the school because there was no power for 5 days, and they planned field trips every day. Bob is the best!

obviously, It's time to switch your aftercare program.

I absolutely LOVE Kids After Hours! They are so pro-family. Bob even spoke out against MCPS when they made that dumb decision to open administrative offices and daycares at 11 am.

Anyone know if Kid After Hours takes students (if they have space, staffing) from other elementary schools in MCPS?

Since ours is so lame--closed.

Yes, KAH takes drop ins...I think it's like $60/day but at least it's an option!

Will MCPS be on time tomorrow?

Yes! They do! Sign your kid up as a drop in.

Cars and school buses were getting into accidents and stuck left and right. I would much rather that the school system play it safe than listen to complaining parents who think they know better but don't.

Thank you. Finally, a person that puts safety first on this thread. Better safe then sorry!
