Yes or move to Florida.

Bethesda, plowed an hour ago.

Downtown Bethesda -- plow just thundered by but the street is still white. Left a bunch of snow and slush in the street too. Poor job!

White street. Kids sledded down on it all afternoon, actually. Nice packed icy snow.

Bethesda, close to downtown.

Just wanted to pile on the kudos for Rockville. I am always amazed at how well plow my street is. And i dont feel i live on a important/busy street.

Rockville, but not incorporated. But part of an HOA. They plow at dawn all the time. Then come back after noon. Best money spent ever.

If you live in the area, please send them an email telling them so. If you aren't plowed yet, call/email them and within 1-2hrs you will be plowed.

By the way, Rockville and Gaithersburg both run within their city and do a great job. The rest of MC is horrible. My neighbors are technically Potomac and it takes a good 24hrs after the snow stops to get a plow their way. The same 2 Rockville plows come during each storm. You can tell that everyone is zoned and planned ahead of time.

Kinda makes you wonder how much better of a school disctrict MCPS would be if they split into 2-4 sections. One could only dream.

The City of Rockville and the City of Gaithersburg plow their streets better (as far as you know; I'm assuming that you don't live in both municipalities) than Montgomery County plows the street of your neighbors who are technically in Potomac (what does that mean?); therefore MCPS would be a better school district if it were split into 2-4 sections.

Ok.

Yes smaller run municipalities, townships, districts and counties run much better smaller than bigger. I totally get what the PP was trying to say. All the private schools are on a 2hr delay. Smaller is better (well for most things, lol.)

They do? Wow! Then New Jersey (565 municipalities) and Georgia (159 counties) must be the best-run states in the country!

Not the OP but better than MCPS and way better than Maryland, so yes. You are completely off topic so move on anyway.

One of my kids goes to private so we drove out today to get her to school. Not sure about earlier but by 9am the roads were fine. Only wet. A few back roads were still slightly snow covered but everywhere from Gaithersburg to Bethesda was plowed and we took all back roads. It was doable but MCPS always sides on caution. That said,, these days better get made up. My private kid has homework emailed and barely had snow days. My 2 public kids never get extra homework, are bored (even though I give them work) and the lost days and delays are too much to not add another week of school.
