Going gluten-free -- want to make sure I don't sabotage accidentally

OP, unless you have a medical reason to not eat gluten, I wouldn't let the small amounts you may be getting in a vitamin or whatever paralyze you. Avoid the obvious stuff and you'll be fine. It may not be worth buying the gluten free oatmeal because of the trace amount of gluten found on regular oatmeal.

Totally agree. If you're having health issues, you probably should get tested for celiac b/f you go off gluten if you want an accurate result. It's not a weight loss diet and people who have celiac often have difficulty getting enough fiber and B12. So look b/f you leap.

Unless you have a medical issue why would you avoid gluten at all?

Double check condiments, dressings, ice cream, candy, baking soda, spices, etc.

San-J Gluten Free Tamari sauce is what I use instead of soy sauce.
