When will DCPS make a decision on Sharpe?

So, the end of January has come and gone. Anyone want to make another prediction?

Bridges Parent Here:
February's newsletter says that there were only two applicants: Bridges/Briya Partnership and Community Academy. The Dept of Gov't Services has delayed their decision. "We believe DGS will not make a decision until later this spring. For the 2014-2015 school year Bridges PCS will be again in the Sharpe school building and Taylor Street."

Anyone know why Community Academy needs even MORE space?? Aren't they way under-enrolled at their current space close to Sharpe?

Anyone also know what is considered difficult about the decision? It's hard to imagine the 2 proposals are equally compelling, but I haven't seen either of them, I'm just going on what I know about Bridges and Community Academy.

+1. I don't understand why a delay is necessary.

I heard that the building that DCPS is planning to move the remaining Sharpe students to is not ready. Sounds like a terrible situation to me and a major screw-up by DCPS. The students who attend Sharpe have serious disabilities and can not just be dumped into an unfinished building. Really unbelieveable that DCPS could not get their act together to have their building ready since they seem to be doing mulit-million dollar renovations on buildings all over the city - some of which are severely under enrolled. I just don't get it.
