Funny, my niece is Sophie Mae
I like Elizabeth nn Betsy, as previously suggested, and agree that a multi-syllable name works best (e.g. Clara instead of Claire). What about Lillian, Juliana, Georgiana, something like that? Nicknames for those (Lily, Julie, Georgie) go with Sophie in the same way Betsy does. |
| Sallie! |
| Clara Mae! It is similar to Claire and absolutely adorable. |
|
Something with at least two syllables. Such as:
Adelaide Elizabeth Caroline Isabel Adrianna |
|
I have to concur, NO MAYA MAE!
Caroline Mae Charlotte Mae Josephine Mae Abigail Mae Alison Mae Lydia Mae Emily Mae Paige Mae Nora Mae Sarah Mae Juliana Mae |

10:24 here.
Continued.... Rebecca Mae Susannah Mae Violet Mae Cassandra Mae Louisa Mae |
| Just don't. |
| If I have a girl, I like Lily Mae. |
| OP here. Thank you for the feedback and suggestions! Elizabeth won't work because that's my name. My other grandmother (not the one with the middle name "Mae") was also Elizabeth but went by Betsy. |
Don't name her Betsy. It's a nickname. I like Clara Mae. |

| I know a woman named Miranda Mae. She's a total bitch but I like her name. |
I think you can give your daughter your name, if you want. But I've also met someone named Beatrice who was called Betsy. Beatrice Mae would be pretty. |
So? Your daughter can have the same name as you. Many boys have the same name as their parent. Just call her Betsy. |
| Marlow Mae |
