Metro for sure. When you put, for example, a $10 bill in the machine and only want $5 on your Smart Trip card, the change that comes back is always in gold dollar coins. I send them to my nephews once in a while and they love them. |
This is too late for you, OP, but I've gotten them from Metro farecard machines when I put in a $5 bill and then only put $1 on my farecard. Worth a try.
I've been collecting them for when my daughter loses a tooth. They're releasing new silver dollars too, I think - got one the other day. I find random coins fascinating - I've been collecting 2 of each state quarter, I have a bunch of old Kennedy half dollars, and I hoard every $2 bill I get. |
