+1 for Monterrey, at least for delivery

Former NYer here, and I second Valentino's. I drive from Arlington to go get it. Bugs me that they won't deliver to Fairlington. It's not that far, and they have a cult following there from all my fellow NY transplants.

The pizza is pretty good, but I always seem to have trouble with their delivery.

Monterey's: Good for delivery in a pinch -- they are fast, and I can easily order online.

Del Ray Pizzeria: DH and I actually really like Del Ray Pizzeria. No, it's not NY style pizza, but it's good. I'm not sure if we would go there as much if we didn't live in the neighborhood, though.

As far as the best pizza goes, I would say Valentino's, Faccia Luna or Pizzeria Paradiso.

Valentino's is good pizza that you can order by the slice (a rare find around here).

Pizzeria Paradiso is good, and they have an excellent craft & imported beer selection, if you are into that (we are).

Faccia Luna in Old Town serves great pizza.

I prefer facicia Luna over red rocks and pizza paradisio but I am a cheese pizza girl- Don't go for all the different toppings. I have to try valentinos based on PPs recommendations. There is NO GOOD delivery pizza in Alexandria that I have found. Any other recommendations for delivery to old town?

Feel free to ask the manager why he offers it on their menu, I can't profess to be a mind-reader.

Should have been a tip-off, though...

Sure, because hummus should only be served at middle-eastern restaurants. Stupid, PP.

Fairlington pizza on quaker lane! The best! Can eat in or take out and good prices too.

Quatro Formaggi on Duke Street does a good slice during peak hours, though I've had variable results with whole pizzas from there.

La Casa in the strip mall with Harris Teeter also has solid pizza.

Red Rocks is my favorite for dine in. Monterreys for takeout.
