| I usually make it - sour cream, mayo, buttermilk to thin it out to consistency of dressing, chives, minced garlic, little lemon juice, parsley and salt and pepper. So good. And I have done it with lowfat sour cream and mayo, and that works well. |
| the ranch at green pig bistro is amazing! |
+1 People like PP are insufferable. |
Actually I gave someone my recipe for Tzatziki sauce and I told them to use plan yogurt and they selected vanilla. A lot of Americans think plain yogurt means Vanilla. |
I have a similar recipe except I use skim and Greek yogurt. Since it is for a child...go with the whole milk. |
Really? A lot, eh? Are you sure it isn't just your friend? It would never occur to me that plain = vanilla. |
| Hidden valley packaged ranch made with mayo and milk. It takes a minute and tastes so much better than the bottle. That's what restaurants usually do (make from powder mix). I think the bottled version has preservatives and other additives that really alter the taste. |
| I like the ranch dressings from the refrigerated section of the grocery better than those in the salad dressing aisle. like marzetti's. |
Restaurants like......Applebee's? |
And the package doesn't have preservatives? |
I'm positive. |
I have a friend who did that too. |
+1 Don't knock it until you've tried it, folks. THE best. |
