Anyone else think Keurig coffees taste terrible?

I don't care for them. Keurig is convenient, but not worth what is costs in flavor.

It's more expensive and those machines don't last very long.

Why would anyone buy a coffee maker that could only function with packets?

This is ours - http://www.seattlecoffeegear.com/saeco-odea-giro-plus-espresso-machine-with-optidose-ii

And no, we didn't pay over $400 for it, although at the time it was a little over $200.

And what happens when the coffee packets are no longer being manufactured?

I grind my own beans to use with the reusable k-cup. DH uses Starbucks, sometimes Peets k-cups. The Keurig brands are all terrible. The convenience of the machine is great.

I bought one when they first came out and were more expensive. I have been using it for going on 5 years now. I wanted a single cup maker because I have a serious coffee problem. I am the only coffee drinker in the house and used to drink an entire 12 cup pot of coffee everyday. This is clearly too much coffee. The single use brewer helps me limit my daily coffee drinking to 3 cups. As I mentioned above, getting the grind correct on a French press is too much for me to handle early in the morning.

All about choice and what you like. I will get a single cup maker and experiment with different K-cups.

I bought the reusable k cup and use my own coffee. It works for me, but I am not a coffee snob.

Why would anyone purchase a Starbucks latte' for $5 each day, 5 days a week?

Our Saeco saved this caffeine-addicted Italianl some money and time.

worth every penny

K cup coffee is weak. I wouldn't buy it.

Yes, gross. Tried all kinds and brands. It just doesn't make good coffee.

ANother thing I've noticed is that the Keurig is best when it is clean. I run vinager and water through mine once a month, and I take apart the cup holder and give that a good scrubbing too.

I think Keurig machines over-heat the water so that it burns the coffee. All K-cup coffee tastes scalded to me. I use a french press and water that's not quite boiling.

OP I agree. I've never had anything good made with a Keurig.
