Go in when the morning rush is over and try talking with her. Great time of year to ask her about holiday plans, family, trips out of town. More conversation will give you a better feel for what is going on. Don't just pepper her with questions, leave some gaps so, if she is interested, she can ask you questions.

I was a barista and a bartender for many years. I'd give free drinks to people I considered regulars because that's just good business. Also, during the holidays people tend to more generous.

If she's really flirting with you she'll have strong eye contact and have more conversation with you. Else, she's just being nice and looking for a better tip.

I do buy coffee regularly but I seldom (1-2 month) frequent this store.

Female here. I don't flirt, nor do I like flirty people. I feel like flirty people flirt with everyone, and if they flirt with me, I could be anyone. Just a personal hang up, but I believe in it strongly.
