I'm in for healthy eating but not sure I am ready to go sugar/grain free...definitely ready to really reduce my intake of both though

I'm in. I don't do all grain-free (because I can't eat dairy) but I cut out all gluten and sugar and alcohol.

Count me in too. Started today with eggs and bacon for breakfast, a huge salad w/cheese & turkey for lunch.

+1. I'm going to try and be much more aware the next few weeks but not going to kid myself that I'm going paleo. And, after tonight's Christmas party, giving up alcohol until Christmas as well.

OP here. Why did I just eat oatmeal? Made some grain free pancakes--or so I thought. Duh!

Pancakes for lunch so may just start tomorrow and drink this peppermint hot cocoa I just bought from TJs... Orrrrrr, better yet, chicken and acorn squash and salad that I have ready to prepare.

So bacon is better for you than oatmeal? I don't think so. Give me my whole grains any say over fatty meat.

Everyone I know who has gone low carb, high protein, has lost a ton of weight and then gained it all back plus some. Extreme diets force your body to go into starvation mode. I wish all of you luck but you are better off for the long term going for a plant-based, well rounded diet.
