Your soul mate is INDEED out there, it just may take some patience to find him.

Please do not give up so soon.

Trust me, when you and him do cross paths, you will thank your lucky stars you persevered.

Good things come to those who wait.

Why rubbish? Just being mean or do you have advice?

Honestly, if you're crying on the way home from a meh date - that was only your second since your relationship ended - you are not ready to date yet. You are probably not over your ex. (until you can stop comparing guys to him, you probably aren't quite ready. If he was so amazing and right for you, you'd still be together.)

It's ok to chill out and be single for a bit and do other things besides dating until a little more time has passed and you are more ready. Really, it is ok.

Online dating is a numbers game. You may have to meet a lot of guys before you find a good one. But some of my friends are really happy with guys they met online. (and others are still looking, years later. But they have friends and interests and are ok too.)
