Not once they are fully healed.

They CAN close up even if they have been fully healed but they don't always close up.

Mine close up even when the holes are fully healed.

I had mine triple pierced. I only worse three for about a year. The second and third holes have not been used in twenty years and are still usable. They won't close.

I recently dealt with my own crooked ear piercings. At the advice of a professional piercer, I let the "bad" hole close up over the course of 3 months. Then I went in -- yes, it was a tattoo/piercing shop -- and the piercer spent several minutes assessing my ears (turns out no one's ears match exactly, so it's pretty easy to end up with uneven piercings) and placing the dot for the new hole. The piercing itself was a little more painful than the gun kind, but it is precisely even with my other hole and I am pretty darn thrilled. I wish I had done it years ago. The whole process, including studs, was about $100.

It is true that no ones ears match. But they can make sure it is centered on the ear. I have an uneven ear issue where my ears were pierced when I was a baby and they done them unevenly. Like one is centered and on is so close to the bottom of my lob I’m afraid it’ll rip thru if I wear too heavy of a earring. I’m not sure how to correct it tho. I haven’t worn earrings since I was 13ish. Maybe even before then. And I’m 27 and can still put earrings in with no problem

Will they heal up if they are a very old piercing and gradually going off center?

No. They take a scalpel and take a little tissue out and sew it closed

Mine were done badly and crooked/uneven when I was a preteen/teen. Luckily they closed up on their own and I’ll get them redone eventually.

Hell no they dont.
I had my ears tripple pieced at 17. Have not used the second or third holes since I was 18. I'm 45 and they are still there and not closed.

I didn’t wear earrings for a few months during this pandemic and noticed that my holes started closing. I am 50 and had my ears pierced as a teen. My holes are uneven, as well, so I should have continued letting it close. Didn’t think about this until I saw your post.

Mine have closed completely but it took decades. It probably depends on how much cartilage versus loose skin is being pierced. Are the 2nd and 3rd piercings higher up where there is more cartilage?

It could take 2 days depending on... well depending in your ears. My DD after having her ears pierced for 11 years, the holes will close completely without earrings in everyday. I would just stop wearing earrings and see how it goes after a week or 2 before seeing a PS.
