| Doesn't choosing a physician specialty based solely on salary seem incredibly short-sighted and unwise, especially since those salaries are very much liable to change with all the changes going on in our healthcare system? |
| Me personally I'd love to be a dermatologist. Seems easy and like a lot of $$$. |
yes because diagnosing cancer and treating it is easy |
Oh please like they are diagnosing skin cancer all day. |
But they need to be able to do it. So by your logic a newborn pediatrician is easy work because most of the checkups include using a scale to take weight measurements and a ruler? People like you will give up after the first week of school. |
Yeah pedatrics is probably one of the easier ones also. Nothing on the level of being a cardiologist or a neurologist for sure. Most derms spend their time trying to hock off expensive facial creams and chemical peels, so cut the dramatics. |
Dermatology - standard office hours and virtually no call and high pay. It's one of the hardest specialties to get into. |
+1 everyone knows pediatrics is comparatively easy. |
Everyone knows pediatrics is one of the easiest specialties. Also one of the lowest paid. |
Easy in what terms ? The board exam for peds is most definitely harder than the internal medicine boards. But yes the pay is much lower than other specialities. |
| Selling mary kay once doesn't make you a dermatologist you moron. |
| Radiology? Saw a news story about radiologists who work full time from home. Great salary, work from home, live and work anywhere in the country (and wondering if this could also apply to anywhere in the world?? maybe that might be limited due to HIPPA privacy laws???), what more could you ask for? |
Hitting the bottle mid-week are we? |
Easy in terms of who gets to do it. There isn't nearly the competition for it as other specialties. |
