low hCG, high progesterone

I'm very sorry about your loss. I'm in a similiar situation. I was expecting my period on Sat. but by luck had my annual exam on Thursday. I hadn't yet had a positive HPT but I was telling my doctor that I was hoping to be pregnant. She gave me a blood test. She called me on Friday and told me that I was pregnant (I almost fell down in the store b/c this was our first attempt) but that I either had an early pregnancy or I was going to miscarry b/c my hcg level was only a 37. I was 12 DPO on Thursday. I have to go in this week for another blood test. The doc told me that most HPTs only show positive with a 50. 3 HPTs are now showing that I'm pregnant and the line gets darker every day so I'm still hopeful. I never knew how nerve wracking pregnancy was going to be!!!

I last posted at 14:25. Just wanted to follow up and let everyone know that my hcg level has more than doubled from 37 and is now 341. I was 16 dpo when I tested at 341 and 12 dpo when my test was 37. I'm still very sorry for the original poster loss and I by no means write this to gloat. I just found that when I was searching the internet for this issue when people didn't follow up with the results it would make me worry.

OP, I am also very sorry for your loss. I wish you well and hope that next time everything works out for the best.

Congratulations pp on your pg! I was a pp on here as well and had the same situation with very low numbers at the beginning that didn't rise as quickly as was expected. The receptionist made some disheartening comments about my numbers which had me in a tizzy for days. Everything turned out fine so far and I currently 30 wks pg. Good luck with your pg.

OP here - thanks again for all your kind comments. My miscarriage is over and I am now looking ahead to trying again.

14:25 poster, congratulations! I'm very happy for you and glad your numbers have soared. I hope you have an easy and uneventful pregnancy. I am fortunate to already have one wonderful healthy child, and I wish you all the happiness that my DC has brought me.
