Can someone please give me some pediatrician recommendations in Fairfax, Mclean, or Vienna?

Vienna Pediatrics associates all the way! I wonder if others confused them with the group since I ahve NEVER heard of the Vienna Pediatric group - (and I have heard of the other one)-I belong to a Vienna Moms group and I'm surprised since after meeting so many moms- that group was never mentioned! You can check out washingtonian.com for best doctors- the best pediatricians in Vienna are 9per washingtonian but you can go tto their website or library for a copy of latest rating):
Dr Karp (our favorite)- Vienna Pediatrics Assoc (703-938-2244) , Dr Schweizel (sp?) also same practice. and then Dr Schwarts listed before..

We love Dr karp and his group- the only dr we stay away from is dr cassidy- just not a + in our opinion- but the rest are available and top notch..

Maybe you misread the previous postings? No one mentioned a Vienna Pediatric Group. It was Virginia Pediatric Group. Also, for the record, Virginia Pediatric Group also has top docs according to Washingtonian (Drs. Libby and Baugh).

Not sure where the rumor of an additional charge for an appointment that lasts too long at VA Pediatrics came from, but we've never encountered such a thing. That's ridiculous! If my child has been sick enough that the doc needed the additional time the doc gave it.

I like Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Yoo and Dr. Martin at Advanced Pediatrics. I had Dr. Weaver once and she was ok too, but I don't regularly see her. My husband loves Dr. Schwartz.

We see Dr Libby at VA Pedatrics and love him. The office staff is actually quite friendly and I have never had a problem with appointment setting or calling in to speak to a nurse.

If your not a big fan of a doctor, how about just talk about the ones you like. You wouldn't want anyone mentioning here your name and deciding on a public forum if we like you or not. You might have talked people out of seeing Dr. Swartz just by your little statement. Mention your name.

To the poster 10:20. Yes, the additional charge for an appointment that lasts longer is ridiculous. If you go to the VAPG website and make a click on "payments", you'll see it's true and for my surprise I also read about that extra charge in a couple of reviews. One of these days I'll go to that docs office and ask questions regarding the payment policies and other procedures.

I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about a doctor you don't like (although I do think it's helpful to say why you don't like the doc).

PUH-leeze. I'm not one of the PP's, but isn't that is what this forum is all about? The ability to be completely honest AND anonymous. If you don't like it, don't read these postings and stay on the main mailing list!
