Those other issues might be legit, PP....but getting hot and bothered over a house color is not normal.

they have broken our fence out back, made cracks in our walls, caught one guy stealing another neighbor's package, permits are not posted...so since this is a very poor reno job overall, I was just wondering about the paint.

What is wrong with you? You come on here complaining that someone painted their house white, instead of maintaining it the charming shitshack redbrick that is ubiquitous here, and then wonder why everyone makes fun of you? No mention of other issues, just the painting.

Yes, we're all losers. I'm quite certain that stealing a package is the direct result of shoddy renovation work. Your logic is flawless.

have you seen any there?

Well, painting a brick house is never a good idea -- not good for the brick. Probably they had repairs to the brick, and this masks them.

As for "can they paint it white?" Yes. They can. Sorry it is not to your taste.

I don't think you need permits to paint a house...

If they broke your fence, then address that. If someone was actually "caught" stealing another neighbor's package, address that.

You didn't start a thread on either of those issues; you started a thread because you don't like the color they painted their house. And that is kind of ridiculous. Live with it.

Painting brick is reno-tarded

I like painted brick. And in my neighborhood 85% of the houses are red brick, and it's damned monotonous.

So true! There is a raised ranch in McLean that the owners painted pepto bismal pnk....

OP, yes they can paint their brick house white.

Egads, OP! What is next? Crack dealers? Could be anything!

I don't think their reno is any of your business.

Drive around Langley and see what eyesores are next to big, fresh beautiful homes, then get back to us. Mmmmkay?

What are you going to do, use up county resources when you can barely pay taxes yourself? How much sense does that make?

You sound like the insane bamboo alarmist, frankly.

Funny. We had a neighbor once that painted her front door the same shade of (unusual color here) at 6 AM on a Sunday morning.

My first thought: how in the hell did they find a painter up at that hour??!! Willing to paint??!! We happened to be walking our puppy at the time, and fell on the front lawn laughing at them. Because they were, quite simply, ridiculous.

We have since driven by the house and guess what - our (now previous) house still looks AMAZING - and theirs still looks like crap.

Worry about your own, and the truth will come out, OP.

Shout out to Little Rocky Run - we don't miss you at all!

Well, since you live on an AVENUE, it must be against the law. Horrors!
