Vacation with Aging Parent

My FIL doesn't walk much--we usually do one activity that he can do, and then he hangs out at a coffee shop or something and chats with the locals. Not doing what the kids are doing doesn't have to mean sitting alone in a hotel room--it could mean relaxing on a park bench or having a cup of coffee or whatever is within her capacity.
