Not that they care about winning.

Knowing that Democrats want to wrap themselves around "market based solutions", I'd note that this was a vendor and I've yet to see any pictures of anyone that bothered buying these silly buttons.

Egad, did the market speak?

For her to get the nomination, people have to feel like Obama was a huge success. So much of her career is tied to the outcome of his administration. If the economy is doing great, yeah maybe. If not, she's an academic, an Obama appointee and a single term senator.

Two-term Senator.

How can she be two terms? She was elected in 2012. Her first term would not be up until 2018.

How? The opposition can paint her as an Obama academic put briefly in charge of consumer protection (which provides plenty of opportunity to attack) and a single elected office.

Anyone put off by Obama, either because of his resume or his economic record, has reason to object to her.

What are you smoking? Totally unelectable on a national stage.

No, I meant Democrats amidst all of the economic schooling we've been getting about how magnificent the healthcare marketplace will be, once it's actually working.

Oops, thought that was referring to HRC. My bad.

And, I'm a liberal Democrat who thinks Elizabeth Warren is great, but entirely unelectable on a national level.

Sadly, it's not hard. That is what is fueling the rise of the Tea Party. Angry white people who can't stand a black president and don't want to contribute to the common good of our society despite being beneficiaries of all of the bounty that society and our federal government provides (i.e., Medicare, infrastructure, public schools, etc).

Agreed. Talking about fat thighs and small breasts, could anything be more misogynistic when we're talking about a possible presidential candidate? It would be like me suggesting that Boehner has a small penis. If I did such a thing people would be outraged. OTOH, making fun of a middle aged woman is always hilarious to the small minded.

Lots of jokes are made about men and their anatomy. What about the numerous jokes about Anthony Weiner even if he invited them? How about the jokes about Chris Christie? When it comes to women how about the knocks against Michelle Bachmann and her appearance or those against Janet Reno when she was AG.

Where I will agree with you is that women get more focus than men when it comes to appearance. But as a Hillary supporter, it does not bother me a bit. I was amused and family members and friends (both male and female) - all strong supporters of HRC - who heard the joke were amused as well and not one person thought it was offensive. The reason is simple: when one is in the public eye you become the focus of jokes. It goes with the territory.

Disagree. If his legacy is 'unsuccessful' (which it's not), people will say "should have picked her, and now's our chance."

You have to be a man. HAVE TO BE. Jokes about anatomy do not "come with the territory" when you are a politician, or at least they shouldn't.
