How many cycles of IVF before getting your BFP or giving up?

Anonymous
3 fresh and 2 frozen IVFs (so 5 in total). First ended in m/c. Then two BFNs. Then a chemical. A new RE found scar tissue that likely resulted from the first m/c, which probably contributed to the previous failures. So next came surgery to remove the scarring. Then another cycle...and I'm now 26 weeks.

I should add that when we stared this path, I read stories about people with a similar number of failures and I honestly never thought we would try so many times. But somehow, through the process, we did.

We've done 5 ivfs, one cancelled ivf, and countless iuis. Still waiting for that elusive bfp. We're still hanging in there but it sucks. Hang in there!

OP here- Thank you all for your answers.

DH thought he maybe saw a line on my test from 5dp5dt, so of course I rushed home to tear that test apart! Well after sucking it up, I knew I needed to test with a FRER. It was positive. I am still in shock! I am praying that we have a healthy stick bean!

To answer previous posters- we have been trying for 13 months, I am 34 and our diagnosis is male factor. We transferred 3 morulas on day 5. Quality wasn't great and the dr gave us about a 40% chance of success.

I go for my beta on Wednesday so for now I am just trying to enjoy being pregnant for the first time in my life.
