Kids bedding

thin cotton quilt: church craft fair? gift from MIL

When she first moved to a twin bed, I bought a bedding set from Save the Children (possibly through Amazon?). Sheets, comforter, bed skirt, sham, junior pillow. The sheets were scratchy, but the rest were OK. But I think the sheets from Lands End and the various other items have been a better value. And easier to mix and match and "grow" with her personality.

Did the Save the Children bedding come with mosquito netting and optional vaccinations?

I got an awesome bedding set for my DD and my baby on sale at Land of Nod and recently got the oldest one a second set (different but still can coordinate well with what she has) on sale from PBKids. The sheets and quilt plus sham altogether came to around 140.

I wait for Pottery barn kids sheets to go on sale. I just got my son a set with surfboards that arrived a few weeks ago because they are off-season. It's my third set from there and the quality is excellent. It's really worth the money (if you can get it on sale) The regular sheet set is close to $70 and I got this set for about 30 something. I also have the baseball that was on clearance.

Any of the above. But I did not mind paying a lot for my kids big kid bedding because they kept it through high school. They got to buy new bedding to take to college, but the bedding I bought them at age two is still on their home bed.

Seriously? That is not only cheap but disgusting. I am sure Junior loved Buzz Light Year or dinosaurs in high school

Agreed. Cheap and disgusting. The comforter was probably so stiff with bodily fluids that it probably could have walked to college on its own.

Presumably the PP does launder it from time to time. Geez. I have 80+ year old quilts we use. Yes. 80. not a typo. And wash. And reuse. Get over it.

Yes. I am sure she put granny's quilt on her toddler bed. You get over it.

Kohls has some cute kid sets that are their own brand and they have other brands online. Amazon had some too.

We now have two big girls and FOUR twin beds to dress! A bunk/trundle and a regular twin.

So I opted for IKEA and a few splurges.

For our girls, I got:

Four fitted sheets
Several pillow cases
Four duvet covers
Four queen/double duvets

in: 2 plain white and 2 delicate rose-petal designs.

VERY affordable. And the white has great longevity.

Kohl's. Online is better. The store is usually messy.

You realize you can wash comforters, right?

I was at IKEA last night for other things but oh, they have some lovely bedding for twin beds! I'm a bit obsessed by bedding so I'm always frustrated they have far less options for king sized beds - but for twins? lovely! make a trip, it's worth it (or look online!)

Hanna Andersson make wonderful bedding. Very soft and comes out of dryer with no wrinkles.
