This Happens Only Once a Month...Argh!!

Such great advice on here already....

Women tend to have a higher libido during ovulation because that is Mother Nature's way of saying it is the right time to procreate. Hence the higher sex drive and the heavier vaginal mucous.

Anyway, DO NOT make any important decisions while on your period. If you start to feel some lonely and depressing thoughts regarding your ex, ask yourself first if it could be hormonal? If so, just do anything to get your mind off him. I like the idea of writing a list. Also, distract yourself. Call a friend instead who can remind you exactly why you guys broke up in the first place. Read a magazine...Perhaps a celebrity one and read about someone else's love life for a change. Lol. Do not call him or contact him in any way, you will surely live to regret it. I promise you that.

If you do not have these distressing feelings when you are not on your period, then most likely they are just hormonal problems and you really do not miss this guy at all.

" there were about 2 days every month when I forced a "waiting period" on myself for any remotely emotional texts, calls or emails. I wasn't allowed to respond to exes or people with whom I was likely to get overwrought. (other than for responding to time-sensitive questions, etc.)."

I do this too, although for me it is a couple days before my period is due when I need to be by myself and not do anything stressful.
