I totally get this. There are so many great, fantastic and loving dogs that are just waiting for a home - and for many, it never happens - and to honor his or her memory, adopt another right away. If something happened to our beloved companions, we'd adopt and save another dog. I think that's what they would want us to do. |

I'm sorry for your loss. It really hurts.
We lasted 6 weeks before had new members in our house. I no sooner had the carpets cleaned and the vents cleaned and my husband said it was time! There is nothing wrong with not waiting. |
| Big hugs to you, OP. |
| I felt like I waited a long time to adopt another after we lost ours, it was only 3 months! I needed to grieve a little |
|
I am sorry. This is truly the saddest part of having a pet.
I dread the day I have to endure this w/my two pets. I know it is going to happen, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. |
| I don't know that I'll be able to get another dog for a long time when this happens. |
| I'm sorry for your loss. Hugs |
|
Sorry for your loss OP!
Read the poem "Rainbow Bridge" it gave my mom lots of comfort when she had to put her/ our dog down. |
|
Where did you go and how much money did it cost? We are having thunder storm and our dog just urinated on the floor. I want to have him put to sleep.
Please help! I'm desperate! |
Are you serious? |
Please don't ruin this for me. I'm grieving and don't need the sarcasm. If you truly have a dog who dislikes storms, try the anxiety wraps/thunder shirts. They work. |
| My heart goes out to you, OP. I know how sad you feel. You and your family will get through this, but it's going to be tough for a little while. |
16:58 here. I'm going through this right now as well, and it is very, very difficult. Not sure why someone would feel compelled to post something like the above PP, I guess some people are just assholes. I'm really sorry for your loss
|
| So sorry OP. |
|
OP, like the others, I offer you big hugs. Having had to go through this twice, I know the incredibly sad hurt in the heart feeling. Others have given some great advice, and I think the Rainbow Ridge poem is very special. I've also tried to think of this quote from Helen Keller, "... what we have enjoyed, we can never lose ... all that we love deeply becomes a part of us."
