How about the Elian Gonzalez raid? There were a lot of people upset with DOJ when they went in as a swat team to grab the boy and send him back to Cuba. Holder was at Janet Reno's right hand through that debacle.

Exactly. I think the case will get national media coverage and then it will have to be tried due to political pressure. It's just my take. BTW, I'm not an idiot or paranoid, I just think there should be justice brought to this case--the Wone family deserves it.

Do you think all 3 will be charged? Right now one of the apt. residents has been charged with obstruction I think and all stand accused (not indicted) of lying to investigators and interfering with the investigation by sanitizing the crime scene.

What particular interest would Holder have? Because he once was a DC prosecutor?

Oh, I didn't know Holder was involved with that. That raises him in my estimation. True, the raid was perhaps not the right thing to do but sending the kid back to his father was.

He's going to sail through. Just look at the public statements of the key republicans. There are too many supporters on both sides of the aisle.

Who cares about Marc Rich? Obviously, the controversy is due to the fact that Eric Holder is on the GDS board and has two daughters attending the school. There is nothing, I repeat nothing, more important than the school Sasha and Malia choose to attend. The Senate will need to determine whether Holder will unduly influence the girls' choice. This may even require a special prosecutor. Does anyone know what Patrick Fitzgerald is doing? You can't tell me there are no Sidwell parents who could serve as AG. There is obviously something fishy going on.

If it is true, as Politico reports, that the girls are going to Sidwell, I guess no special prosecutor will be needed. GDS gets the AG; Sidwell gets the girls. Sidwell is probably happier. Just think of all those Sidwell parents salivating at the idea of playdates with the Obama girls!
