Exactly, pp. I love Ben and Jerry's (coffee coffee buzz buzz flavor, handpacked from the shop, is irresistable). But old Breyer's vanilla, and their mint chocolate chip too, were a different thing, and so good. Now I might as well buy a carton of whatever old cheap ass ice cream there is.
Will try the HT though. Are the ingredients limited to the basics? |
This is what I buy for my kids too. I find it too sweet and wish there were some options out there that weren't so sugary, but since I don't shop at Harris Teeter the Turkey Hill Natural is the only brand I could find that doesn't have additives. |
HT PP here -- I 've only had the vanilla and the cookie dough kinds, so there's at least some non-basic flavors. |
| Graeters |
| Graeters is nothing like the old Breyers. Graeters is wonderful, but so thick and rich that the spoon gets a coating of butterfat on it. The old Breyers was much less heavy. |
| I miss the old Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip. So good and I am not even an ice cream person! I will have to try HT Naturals. |
| Bryers took homemade vanilla away and put vanilla bean back. So it's really buyer be ware! LOOK TO THE LABEL. Bryers still makes great ice cream; you just have to look for it. Thank-you Bryers! |
I agree with Harris Teeter All Natural. The Neapolitan is very similar and part of me likes the chocolate better than Breyers. |
| So disappointed in ice cream options lately. I'm making dessert for Christmas at the inlaws and wanted to get some ice cream to go with brownies - could only find one kind that didn't come with artificial ingredients and corn syrup. |
| Talenti gelato. |
| +1 on Harris Teeter natural or Turkey Hill natural |
+1 also WF 365 brand. |
| Talenti |
| Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla is all we buy. |
| I think the Breyers mint chocolate chip has remained the same. It's been one if my favorites for decades. I haven't had it since the summer and will be so disappointed if it's been altered. |
